The Palmer House Restoration
One of the largest in-use hotel projects of its kind, work on the historic Palmer House in Chicago posed numerous challenges. As a restoration – not a renovation – Triangle needed to remain faithful to the landmark hotel’s design and original painting techniques. The work included the restoration of the hotel’s grand lobbies, ballrooms and public spaces, the finishing of new spaces such as the parking garage, restaurants, fitness center and spa, as well as the renovation of over 1,400 hotel rooms.
- Removal of all old wall coverings throughout the hotel
- Prepping and installation of new wall coverings – enough to cover 16 football fields
- Wood & metal refinishing
- Ornate faux finishing
